About

Set within five acres of buttercup meadow and surrounded by woodland, this American colonial-style weatherboard house offers a distinctive and highly flexible countryside location for film, photography and large-scale productions. The white timber-clad exterior, corrugated roof, turret and long verandahs give the property a strong American or Antipodean feel, while its secluded setting ensures complete privacy, with no neighbouring houses in view.

Internally, the house is styled in a relaxed shabby chic aesthetic with French and Victorian influences. All ground floor rooms benefit from generous 3 metre ceilings and include a large kitchen overlooking the meadow, two sitting rooms, a dining room and a reading room. Throughout the house, reclaimed wooden floors, chateau doors, cast iron radiators, Bakelite switches and roll-top baths add texture and character. Upstairs, six bedrooms are set within the eaves, many with open views across the land. A balcony and turret further enhance the architectural interest.

The wider site offers extensive exterior filming options. These include two large verandahs, a derelict Victorian greenhouse with corrugated roofing, meadowland, orchard, partial woodland, pond, campfire area, beehives, two poly tunnels and multiple barns and outbuildings. A large barn is available for storage or set dressing, and a separate cabin provides a dedicated green room with its own kitchen and toilet. Additional base unit space can be arranged on the neighbouring farm if required.
